House of Ghia is mainly a supplier of new, used, reproduction, and refurbished parts for Volkswagen Karmann Ghias
House of Ghia was started over 20 years ago by the late Jim Patterson. At one time House of Ghia was the largest supplier of Karmann Ghia Parts in the world. In the mid 1990's House of Ghia was grossing almost $500k in annual sales, and was producing over 200 unique reproduction parts.
When I bought the House of Ghia in May of 2005, the doors had all but closed. The House of Ghia was not doing much business and their manufacturing partners were not making parts any longer. I've been working at re-establishing those relationships and increasing the inventory so that we could once again be a major supplier of parts to the Karmann Ghia community.
About Me
My name is Mike Gregory. I currently operate the House of Ghia solo, with the occasional help of my
17 year old son, Alex.
I have always had an interest in cars and have owned over 50 cars personally. Over the years I've been drawn to Aircooled VW's. I've had 3 ghias, several Bugs, 71 westfalia, a notch, and two squarebacks.
The Ghia's were always my favorite and when the opportunity to get involved in this business presented itself I jumped at it.
The Future
After getting the business running more efficiently, I plan on tackling some
personal restorations. Eventually I'd like to do some complete or partial
restorations for customers.
I hope to document and post many of the tasks that Karmann Ghia owners would like to know how to do. So as I do them here in the shop, I'll video them and post them. Now this will really take me out of my comfort zone as I can be fairly camera shy, but we're going to give it a try.
